Glǽmscrafu - Sindarin

Sindarin, or Grey-elven, is according to Tolkien’s last conceptions the language developed in Beleriand among the Sindar. It was adopted by the exiled Ñoldor, spread into all the West of Middle-earth and became there the usual Elvish language, a situation observed in The Lord of the Rings where Sindarin is simply called “Elvish”. This language was also widely used by the Edain and then the Númenoreans, and even became the mother tongue of some of them.
