Baruk Khazâd! Khazâd ai-mênu!
Axes of the Dwarves! The Dwarves are upon you!

Commentary
Source: The Lord of the Rings, book III, chapter 7. Translated in Appendix F. The English pronoun you is ambiguous between singular and plural, but a gloss in The War of the Rings, p. 20, states that mênu is an accusative plural second person pronoun.

Dwarves had two different pronunciations for r: some used a trill, others used a back or uvular R, a sound that the Elves found distasteful. We have used a trill for this record.

The text is transcribed in Elvish runes or cirth according to Tolkien’s given valuation in the Angerthas Moria. We made use of Daniel Steven Smith’s typeface Cirth Erebor.  Open this mode in Glaemscribe
